We received requests for the Pastoral Prayer given by Olivia Turner last Sunday to be sent out. Olivia is agreeable so I am sending it out now for our blessing and encouragement.

Our God and our Creator,
As our congregation has come to this place this morning in worship, we offer our adoration and our praise, recognizing You as the One who has given each of us life.
Today we have begun the season of Lent, a time of preparation, and we look to your Son, Jesus, as we think of the death and resurrection of our Savior.
Lord, You know our mental, physical and spiritual condition. I would pray for all – for strengthening in each aspect of our being. We serve where and who each of us are, knowing our weaknesses.
Even so Lord, we are persons of worth because You have told us so. You bless us and love us and continue to touch our lives.
Lord, we draw strength from knowing our Christ became fully human, died and was resurrected for each one of us. Because of that, Lord, we look inward into each of our lives, personally and pray this day, in this place, to be resurrected anew, overcoming our weaknesses, into a new and stronger people for service in your Holy Name – even the name of JESUS! AMEN
