Today starts what is commonly referred to as “black Friday”. The propose is to start off the Holiday Season with sales and shopping. I deliberately did not say the Christmas Season because far too often preparations for Christmas are tied to the stress associated with what has become the holiday and not the true reason which is to remember the birth of our Lord and Savior.
We need to take the time to stop and listen to the voice of God throughout the turmoil of shops and decorations and preparations.
To continuously remember the true reason for the season as we move into advent.
Be prayerful and above all be thankful for the Lord is good.
11 With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord:
“He is good;
his love endures forever.”
And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
